SAPNA PATEL

ABOUT SAPNA

Lineage practice for a life of consequence.

Sapna Patel is a Sai Shakti energy practitioner, yoga and breathwork educator, and initiated teacher in a Sri Vidya Siddha lineage of Penukonda, India. Her work brings long-term professional experience into conversation with a living tradition of practice.

Portrait of Sapna Patel

Before this work, she learned how consequential systems move.

For nearly twenty years, Sapna worked across financial services, venture capital, corporate development, fintech, insurtech, and robotics. She began as a producing agent at New York Life, building a client base from the ground up, and moved through specialty brokerage at Marsh and private wealth management at SignatureFD before joining SeedInvest.

As Managing Director at SeedInvest, she expanded the firm's operations into the Southeast and built and managed a $250M deal pipeline — sourcing deals including Bitpay, which raised $30.5M from Index Ventures and Founders Fund, and Partpic, later acquired by Amazon. As Director of Corporate Development for Softwear Automation, a robotics and advanced manufacturing company, she built the go-to-market and partnership strategy from the ground up, creating a national and international distribution network and supporting Series A and Series B fundraising. She then founded Life Insurance Simplified, a national insurance distribution platform serving small and mid-sized organizations.

That chapter taught her to listen for what matters, test assumptions, and stay steady in complexity — disciplines that remain part of how she teaches.

THE FOUNDER STORY

Suffering Was
the First Teacher

Sapna Patel did not come to this work through a tidy spiritual biography. She came through her body's rebellion — a personal health crisis that sent her searching for what her science education could not provide.

What she found was not an alternative to her scientific training but its completion — a map of the human system that went deeper than tissue, deeper than chemistry, deeper than psychology. A map that Siddha masters had been refining for 7,000+ years.

The initiation point was a phone call in 2020 when a child she loved was diagnosed with a rare condition. What awakened in her that day had been building for years. What followed was three years of the deepest study and practice of her life, experimenting with herself.

  1. Early

    Biology & Psychology

Academic training establishes the scientific framework that later becomes the bridge for everything she teaches.

  2. Crisis

    The First Descent

Her own health journey begins. The search for what lies beyond conventional approaches leads to yoga and permanent change.

  3. Yoga

Teacher Training — The Philosophy Opens

200-HR teacher training. The asana practice opens yogic philosophy — which opens the ancient understanding of the human energy system.

  4. TM

    Transcendental Meditation

Initiation into TM. The research literature becomes the model for how ancient practice and modern science can speak honestly to each other.

  5. 2020

    The Awakening

A child she loved diagnosed with a rare condition. She is led to the Divine Mother Center. She discovers she is an energy practitioner.

  6. Now

3+ Years Deep Study & Practice

Immersion in Siddha palm leaf manuscript teachings. Initiation as a Sai Shakti practitioner. The building of this work.

A Penukonda, India lineage, carried into the present.

Sapna is initiated in a Sri Vidya Siddha lineage, taught by Siddha Master Sri Kaleshwar and carried through the Divine Mother Center in Northern California. The knowledge comes from Ancient Palm Leaf Manuscripts of Penukonda, India. Within that community, she serves as an initiated teacher, and her training in the Five Elements Process and the Holy Womb Chakra Process, mantra meditation practices, are the foundation of the mentorship she now teaches. She approaches lineage study as practice rather than ornament: material to be learned, tested in experience, and taught with care. She is a member of the Energy Medicine Professional Association and The Yoga Alliance.

Her yoga formation began with a 200-hour certification through CorePower Yoga in 2016, extended through the Extensions and Yoga Sculpt programs, and deepened through proficiency in the Transcendental Meditation technique. She holds Registered Yoga Teacher 200-hour certification, Yoga Nidra certification through ISHTA Yoga, and trauma-informed yoga certification, and is currently enrolled in 300-hour therapeutic yoga teacher training through YogaX at Stanford University School of Medicine. She is also studying integrating the science of Hatha Yoga, Tantra Yoga and Ayurveda. She leads virtual yoga sessions for groups. She holds a Master's in Accounting, and academic training in biology and psychology at the University of Georgia.

Practice for the seasons that ask more of you.

Her work meets physicians and healthcare professionals carrying consequential decisions; founders and technology leaders working inside uncertainty; and women professionals reconsidering how much they have learned to hold alone. She offers private Sai Shakti energy renewal sessions, breath and mantra meditation practice, and the application-based Five Elements Mentorship. The work can begin with one focused session or with a longer period of study.

She does not offer quick transformation, spiritual performance, or medical promises. She offers practice, clear teaching, and a structure for sustained inquiry.

The inquiry continues on the page.

Sapna writes two bodies of work. The Yoga Series is a literature review examining contemplative practices and the emerging neuroscience behind them. The RedWagon Series is fiction, following Kanaka’s journey of self-mastery, where ancient wisdom and unseen forces awaken her energy, transform her destiny, and reveal the deeper mysteries of existence.

Study where rigor and lineage can remain distinct — and still speak.

Across two decades in finance and technology and her ongoing formation in a Siddha lineage, Sapna has learned not to flatten one system into the language of another. She teaches from that discipline. For readers who are ready to engage spiritual work without leaving judgment, responsibility, or professional life at the door, there is one way to begin.
